El Encuentro de Adolescentes en Escena encuentra sus orígenes en el año 2004, cuando el Encuentro de Teatro Estudiantil se amplía a otras disciplinas. Se caracteriza por ser el único Encuentro donde no se concursa ni se premia económicamente, como forma de asegurar la participación de todos los artistas adolescentes. Para la presente edición es coordinado por Victoria De León, con el apoyo del resto de la Secretaría.
